We had a truly great experience hosting Nathalie and Hanspeter. From the very beginning, everything felt easy and well organised. They arrived on the morning of our departure, and we had enough time to walk them through the house and Becky's routine properly, which gave us immediate peace of mind

Throughout the sit, they kept us updatea regularly, which we really appreciated. Communication was clear, thoughtful, and never excessive - just the right balance to know everything at home was running smoothly.

They invested genuine time and care into Becky, keeping her firmly in her routine and giving her plenty of attention. Becky went on long adventures with Hanspeter, which we could clearly see she enjoyed thoroughly. When we returned, she was a very happy girl - relaxed, content, and clearly well looked after. That, more than anything, speaks volumes.

The house was maintained beautifully. Everything was tidy, organised, and treated with respect. They even helped us coordinate with one or two suppliers relating to ongoing work at the house, which was extremely helpful and certainly above and beyond what we expected.

We were able to enjoy our holiday completely stress-free, knowing our home and Becky were in capable and caring hands. From what we could tell, they alsa had a wonderful time here, which always makes a sit even more successful.

We would happily welcome Nathalie and Hanspeter back at any time, and we can confidently recommend them to any homeowner looking for reliable communicative, and genuinely caring sitters.

We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Nathalie and Hans Peter - they were absolutely exceptional in every way. From the very beginning, their communication was warm, thoughtful, and reassuring, and throughout our trip they sent frequent updates and photos of our Uriel, that genuinely brought smiles ta our faces. It was so comforting to see how happy, relaxed, and clearly loved she was in their care.

Uriel received tons of one-on-one playtime, along with daily walks, cuddles, and so much affection. It was obvious she felt completely at home with them. We have been most fortunate in having had many, many excellent house-sitters over the years, but Nathalie and Hanspeter for us defined a new gold standard of how to do things.

First of all they are completely delightful people, the sort anyone would be thrilled to have as neighbours or friends. They are also great company, having led full and very interesting lives. Both are energetic and full of life (refreshing in our tired and cynical world) and take house-sitting in a highly professional, but very practical and human (as well as humane) spirit. Our animals are an odd, loving little family and this couple quickly got to know all their routines and dynamics and worked with them, as well as willingly going that extra mile (literally on dog walks!) to make sure all their needs were met. I can truly say that when I returned they all looked as happy and healthy as I have EVER seen them.

The house too was treated with full care and respect and it was a great pleasure for us to see how they both fitted into the rhythms and glories of life here, as well as cheerfully coping with the quirks of an old property. We were also provided when away with amusing photo updates and a charming video of their stay, which I shall be forwarding to future sitters.

I can honestly commend Nathalie and Hanspeter with no reservations whatsoever; it is really not hard to see why they are so popular.

Nathaly y Hp son, simplemente, excepcionales tienen una energia que solo de estar cerca de ellos hacen tu vidc mejor. Te regalan lo mas importante: paz y tranquilidad. No puedo ni expresar con palabras lo cariñosos y cuidadosos que fueron con mis perros. Los Ilevaron a la montaña a diario, los trataron coma parte de su familia, los quisieron como nunca pude pensar que alguien que na fuese yo haria. Cada dia me mandaban fotos, videos, montajes en video de rutas que hicieron con mis perros,.. muchisimo mas de lo que nadie podria pedir. Nathalie and Hanspeter could not have been better sitters. Fantastic communication prior to the sit, friendly, kind, and understanding on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they loved and cared for our cats as if they were their own. It is hard to use the correct words to describe Nathalie and Hans Peter. We have always had wonderful sitters for Alvin & Winnie, but these two go above and beyond. They excel at communicating, both before and during. Sending the cutest pictures and films of our cats and letting us know they are having a wonderful time together. They show great love not only for Alvin & Winnie, but also for our whole family. Our oldest daughter had to stay home for a while during their sit because of work, and this was no problem at all. They took such good care of her, washing and folding her clothes and driving her to the airport early in the morning. They cleaned our house like pros and the garden has never ever looked so amazing. If you ever have the opportunity to have Natalie and Hans Peter as sitters, you should feel truly grateful. I am not sure there exists kinder and more wonderful people on this earth.

Fair to say that 5 stars is not enough for Nat & Hp - they went above and beyond in every sense. They were extremely respectful of Duma who is both shy and stubborn and they let him come to them in his own time. They kindly shared very cute photos and video montages daily and, although I suspect they did not have as much opportunity as they would have liked to explore the area (due to Duma not really wanting to go for long walks), they were so kind and patient with him. The house was spotless upon return with flowers and wine left for us. Such an interesting and lively couple who we would love to have again but I suspect they are very popular - and with good reason!

No superlatives will suffice. The cats were loved, our home was superbly taken care of and we received (often more than) daily video updates. And Nathalie and Hans-Peter did so much more than that: work was being done on a part of our house and we were always kept informed of progress. And of arising problems and we had a few: a limping cat whom they took to the vet, a leaking roof after heavy rain, a broken strimmer which they had repaired so they could cut the grass, a dirty car which was washed inside and out. Nathalie's and Hans-Peter's generosity of spirit is inspiring: they arrived bearing gifts, they departed leaving gifts, they were a gift to us and will be to anyone who is fortunate enough to welcome them - as friends.

HP and Nathalie came and house sat for us for 16 days in January/February 2025. They arrived at our house the day before we were due to leave. This gave us the opportunity to get to know them as well as show and explain the various technologies that make our house work. These are the wood pellet boiler that supplies the domestic hot water and under floor heating - the water softener apparatus that needs replenishing with salt - cleaning and caring for the wood stove in the sitting room that uses cut logs from the garden. We have tried to write comprehensive guide sheets but there is no substitute for hands on exposure to the systems to get comfortable with the house.

During their time at the house we felt very comfortable with their care, both of the house and our two cats. They provided us with many updates on the cats, how they were adjusting to new, (evidently more caring than us!) people in the house. In no time the we could see that the cats were very comfortable in HP and Nathalie's care.

In addition HP mowed our lawn (not something we requested) as spring had just arrived and nature was blooming. HP and Nathalie traveled to several cities in the area which was very welcome to us all. We feel that our sitters should enjoy their time here. Care of the cats is not too demanding and time spent traveling in the area is very important so that all parties have experienced a win. We would like to thank HP and Nathalie for their first-class house sitting and we would recommend them to all that are lucky enough to have them volunteer to house sit for you.

Nathalie and Hanspeter arrived as scheduled. They both had a big smile and we felt their warm personalities instantly. They looked after our dog Baz extremely well and he was very happy and relaxed with them ... he didn't want them to leave! And we felt the same way!

They were very well organized, very clean and our home was impeccable on our return. Nathalie even prepared a welcome back delicious soup for us. Nathalie and Hanspeter looked after our dogs and home for an extended period while we were away working and visiting family in the UK.

They are truly the loveliest people, and our pets adored them, which is of note as Bella does not often fall in love with anybody!

While we were away we were treated to daily photos and videos of the dogs, who were obviously having a ball. Holly is an elderly dog, and they managed her needs with wisdom and kindness, and kept us informed, for example if there were a couple of days in a row when Holly did not choose to go for a walk.

We felt completely relaxed for the entire period that we were away, knowing that the dogs were being looked after with the love and care that they are used to, and that their routine was absolutely unchanged from their norm.

Not only were the dogs happy, but so was the house!

We have a large garden which was neater upon our return than on our departure! And the icing on the cake was that Hanspeter had carried out a restoration project on a rather tired looking set of table and chairs (having confirmed all the details with us first). We returned home to happy pets, an immaculate house, a beautiful garden, and a fridge full of homemade food and gifts, including Natalie's delicious mandarin jam!

Highly recommended is not enough for this wonderful couple. Our dogs are missing them terribly, as are we, and we hope to be lucky enough to have them sit for us again in the future.

I don't think that anyone could ask for better housesitters than Nathalie and Hanspeter. They are simple the best. While I was away we were in contact every day and they would send me photos of their walks and cuddles with my pets. Both are just so easygoing, uncomplicated, life loving, nature loving, animal loving, grateful and simply wonderful & lovely people. My house was spotless clean when I got back from my travels, my animals were happy and in fantastic condition and they had surprised me with the fixing of some things. Not only the animals were really sad seeing them go ... it was the same for me. This was the second summer that Nathalie and Hanspeter were housesitting my home and I hope there will be many more. If sitters could get 10 stars instead of 5, these two would deserve them all.

We had a rocky start when our dog passed away before their arrival but they very sweetly agreed to come as planned to look after the cockerel and garden. Natalie and Hanspeter are fantastic housesitters and we would not hesitate to use them again if they are available.

We have a "smart house" whichsometimes has little glitches. Hanspeter and Nathalie sorted these out very quickly. Our cats were very well looked after and bonded with Hanspeter and Nathalie. Even Mia, my aloof cat, was seduced by Hanspeter and would curl in his lap. HP and Nathalie sent us regular updates along with photos which we loved receiving. We felt very relaxed leaving them in charge.

Before we arrived home Natlaie asked us what we would like to be in the fridge when we got back. I said butter and milk but when we arrived home there were also other goodies in the fridge that they had got for us.

We spent a couple of days with Hanspeter and Nathalie before we left so we could show them how the "smart house" worked. We were also able to get to know them a little and found them to be intelligent and very interesting people.

We were so happy with them, that we have invited them to stay with us (as friends) if they ever want to revisit the Alagrve.

Where do we start?! Do we say what a friendly, competent, caring, diligent, loving, amazing couple are Hanspeter and Nathalie, which is not enough, or should we concentrate on the fantastic attention and the way our pets, house and grounds were treated?

We had a couple of days with them before we left for Rio de Janiero so we immediately warmed to them and realised they were going to be great. And with their 25 year’s experience on a yacht circumnavigating the world we were safe in the knowledge they would be able to cope with any problems that might occur in our rather complicated house. The two dogs and cat took to them immediately and in a day or so they had won the confidence of the parrots and we were happy to see them perched on their hands and shoulders in the photos they sent us. Throughout our trip we were delighted to receive loads of happy photos of them on walks and around the house and grounds.

The only thing we were a little disappointed in was on our return. We expected to be greeted by the dogs going crazy when they saw us, the cat nuzzling us and purring, and the parrots flapping about in ecstasy on our return. But obviously Nathalie and Hanspeter had had spent every waking hour caring and loving for our ‘zoo’ to the extent that our homecoming welcome was not exactly ‘WOW’ but more of a, ‘Oh hi, you’re back then’.

On our return we found they had gone beyond the call of duty. Not only was the house spotless and immaculate but the courtyard had been pressure hosed along with the whole restaurant area and the driveway had been swept of leaves. Garden rubbish had been disposed of and some plumbing and water leaks fixed.

The copious amount of water, bottles of wine and beer we left for them were left untouched and in the days after they left we are finding new floor mats, dustpans and brushes and brooms they purchased.

We are looking forward to having them sit again soon! And we are not going to recommend them to anyone else because we want to keep them for ourselves!!

I honestly could not have been more blessed to meet Nathalie and Hans Peter. They are one of the nicest people I have met and Otis and Ray were extremely lucky to have these gentle souls take care of them ! I felt immediately at ease after my first call with Nathalie and left my baby boys and home without any worries. They gave me daily updates of how the fur babies were doing and sent lovely photos. I came back a little late in the evening and told them they didnt have to wait for me me but Nathalie said they would and even asked me if there was anything that I would like to find in my fridge when I got back ! I mean !!! How sweet !!!? The house was absoluetly spotless, plants were watered and Nathalie even cleaned the bed sheets and made the bed for me. I cannot thank them enough and anyone one who would have them look after there animals would be so lucky ! Genuinely, the warmest and kindest souls. Please come back and see us soon !!

I can't thank or praise Nathalie and Hanspeter enough! They allowed our family to get away worry-free on a short (only 5 days) trip away from our dog for the first time in six years. Our dog loved them and actually benefitted from a great vacation with them! They took her with them on daily excursions locally, to Lake Geneva, and up to play in the snow on top of the Salève. They were super thoughtful and went above and beyond the call of duty to make the experience positive and convenient for us. Their communication with us was top-notch with photos and short notes which I really appreciated so we always felt at ease.

The couple are expert house and pet sitters as they have embraced the adventure and discovery of the THS concept and have successfully performed both short- and longterm sits over the last few years. Nathalie and Hanspeter are a great couple and we felt lucky that they chose to sit for us. We met them when they arrived and enjoyed their company over supper.

It turned out to be a house sit rather than a pet sit as our plans changed when we had a water leak in our English house and took Tula back to UK with us. We were grateful that Nathalie and Hanspeter still came to stay as the garden needed watering and they kindly did a few odd jobs without being asked to do so. They were excellent com­muni­cators before, during and after their stay. We hope they will come and visit us again as they will always be welcomed.

Nathalie and her husband Hanspeter were the best house & petsitters one could wish for. They are a lovely, kind and very interesting couple with lots of life experience, a very positive attitude towards everything. They built up an excellent connection with my pets and made sure the pets kept their same rhythm with feeding and their walks throughout their stay. They even walked the dog super early in the morning, for sunrise, just like I always do. They were amazing at adapting to everything here and felt at home, just the way I had asked them to do so. My plants and the home were also well taken care. My home was spotless when I came back and Hanspeter even tried to fix my water hose on the terrace, and when that could not be done, replaced it. My animals absolutely loved being with them and even stayed in their room during the night, the way they normally do it with me. Both Nathalie and Hanspeter are extremely kind and loving people and I really hope that they will be coming back again to do future sittings for us.

Nathalie and HP are wonderful sitters! They took excellent care of our home and our hounds. Our girls got two long off-leash walks per day, and we received lots of pictures of their adventures. Natalie and Hanspeter are fantastic housesitters and we would not hesitate to use them again if they are available.

We have a "smart house" whichsometimes has little glitches. Hanspeter and Nathalie sorted these out very quickly. Our cats were very well looked after and bonded with Hanspeter and Nathalie. Even Mia, my aloof cat, was seduced by Hanspeter and would curl in his lap. HP and Nathalie sent us regular updates along with photos which we loved receiving. We felt very relaxed leaving them in charge.

Before we arrived home Natlaie asked us what we would like to be in the fridge when we got back. I said butter and milk but when we arrived home there were also other goodies in the fridge that they had got for us.

We spent a couple of days with Hanspeter and Nathalie before we left so we could show them how the "smart house" worked. We were also able to get to know them a little and found them to be intelligent and very interesting people.

We were so happy with them, that we have invited them to stay with us (as friends) if they ever want to revisit the Alagrve.

I cannot recommend Nathalie and Hanspeter highly enough. They are both extremely competent, totally trustworthy and a more delightful couple it would be hard to find. They made friends with Saffie from day one who then decided that Nathalie and HP must be part her family. HP especially formed a close bond and he would race her to the top of the hill above the lake. Nathalie and HP looked after the garden beyond our expectations so that by the time they left it looked immaculate. They even cleaned the dirty tiles surrounding the pool until they looked as good as new. The cottage they lived in was left even more immaculate than immaculate (if that'spossible!).

If you need a competent and happy couple to look after your house and pets, go for them if you can. They are the perfect house sitters. They have promised to come back one day and without hesitation, we would welcome them with open arms.

5 stars all the way! What a pleasure to meet them. We were so lucky to have them look after our house and animals when we were away for 5 weeks. They went above and beyond in so many different ways - both with the house and our pets. Great care and attention was taken with everything. They were very self sufficient while at the same time sending lots of photos of our dog and cat during our trip with a good dose of humour thrown in. Can't recommend them enough!

What a lovely couple who only had one thing on their mind when sitting........our animals. The love they showed for them was unbelievable. They had at least 2 walks a day and lots of cuddles. Bob loved his daily brush too. We received lots of photos which was great. The casita was left spick and span. Thank you both and we will definitely be looking to book you again soon.
